Where can I find additional information regarding Douglas County Planning?

Map Search

I do not see a dot for the project I am interested in.
What are all the different colored dots on the map and what do they mean?
There is road construction going on near me. Why doesn't this show up on the map?

I typed in a Marketing Name or Business Name and 'No results' came back. Why?

Where can I find additional information regarding Douglas County Planning?

On the Welcome Page click on the Learn More button which will open the Planning website.

I do not see a dot for the project I am interested in.

Some projects may be closed. Check the 'Include closed projects' box on the Planning Projects search to check for closed projects.

What are all the different colored dots on the map and what do they mean?

The dots represent different planning projects. The Legend is in the lower left corner of the screen. You can open the Legend by clicking on the triangle.

There is road construction going on near me. Why doesn't this show up on the map?

The projects shown on this map do not include road projects. Contact Douglas County Engineering or Public Works regarding road construction.

The address I typed in is not returning any results.

Please call the Addressing Specialist at 303.660.7411 for verification.

I typed in a Marketing Name or Business Name and 'No results' came back. Why?

Some projects may have not had a marketing or business name when the project was submitted to the County or the name could have changed and has not been updated with our files.

When typing in the owner name I am not finding the property I am interested in. Why?

The owner name is specific to the name in the Douglas County Assessor's records and may be listed as an LLC or a family trust.

The project that I am searching for comes back with this message: 'No information was found matching your selection criteria. Please try again.' Why is it not returning my project?

The correct format for Project numbers is (ex: SP19XX-XXX).

What is a location description?

The location description comes from the Assessor's parcel information and often matches the legal description of a parcel.

What are related parcels?

Related parcels are parcels that are included as part of a land use application.

How do I view documents in a project?

Click on the documents tab where you can choose between typing in specific information to retrieve a document or looking through all documents that are in a project.

How can I get a login for Agency Sign-In?

The 'Agency Sign-In' is for approved Douglas County Referral Agencies only.
